Decorative Painting: Four Chinese wisdom
depictions. Commissioned acrylic.
(Size 18"x60" each)

Decorative Painting: I refurbished this antique
desk. I added the 3D decorative grapes and
faux-finished the top and all sides (including
back)

Decorative Painting: I painted this sign on a
water barrel at a local horse ranch. (Size 3'x6').

Decorative Painting: Custom designed,
faux-painted, rock wall

Decorative Painting (Overview and Detail): First I resurfaced the table. Then I hand-painted
the lettering around the edge of the table, as well as the decorations in the middle. Finally,
I sealed the table with several coats of polyurethane to maintain the artwork and protect
the table. "Having a place to go is home. Having someone to love is family. Having both is
the best of life."
The Decorative Painting Process
Create more beauty, personalization and inspiration in your life, home, business or office with decorative painting, which includes painting on furniture, doorways, ceilings, windows, furniture, walls...anything!
- Tired of looking at white walls, ceilings or floors?
- Have a old piece of furniture that needs a facelift to make it fit better into its environment?
- Need to establish a more unique and professional office presentation?
From the initial concept right on through completion, I create custom hand-painted surfaces.
Decorative painting has exploded over the last twenty years. And it’s definition has broadened considerably to include both Faux Finishing and Trompe l’oeil (for definitions see Faux Finishing page.) Fine decorative painting has been rediscovered from classic sometimes century old techniques and has infinite applications. It can be a simple design added to a arch way or as complicated as a Trompe l’oeil illusion. Not limited to walls it extends to floors, ceilings, furniture-what ever you might imagine painted. I will translate your ideas into practical solutions.
First Meeting:You and I will meet to discuss ideas and view the item, or wall(s) etc… to be painted I will also bring my portfolio. Most clients have an idea of what they want, you can also ask advice for suggestions. Once the decorative elements are decided upon and you have pictures to show me we can proceed to the next step (If I do the research for you and spend more than one hour on research for design elements there will be additional charges)
Second Meeting:A sketch will be presented. If you are happy with the ideas and proposal, a deposit is then due. At this time, a date will be scheduled. A color rendering can be prepared for an additional fee.
Third Meeting:The Painting process will start. If there are any changes made to the decorative elements once painting has begun, there will be additional charges. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the project.
